The roman building dedicated to Saint Jean is reformed during the XVIIth century and change its name to Nostra Senyora d'Agost to become the parish church of Rodès. The church has been built directly in the rock with its choir located on the west side. It is shaped as a flat bedside. The inscription 1637 gives information about the modifications during this period. The former medieval choir becomes the church entrance, topped with a bell tower decorated with elements made of terracotta. The church conserved several retables and some of these have been reworked during the XIXth century thanks to great local families.
